To get started with Wraptor, start the 7-day free trial (no card required), answer the one-screen quick start with your shop name and the kind of work you do, and pick Quote a job with Rex so your first real quote is drafted before you've opened a settings page. Spend the rest of the first hour on four things that make every later quote right: your rates and tax, your logo, your customer messages and Stripe payouts. Then bring your existing customers over from a CSV export. When the trial ends nothing is charged and nothing is deleted; you choose Wraptor Starter or Wraptor Shop to keep working.
The short version
- •The trial needs no card and starts on its own. A new shop goes straight into a 7-day Wraptor Shop trial with every section open, and it ends without a charge.
- •The quick start takes about a minute. Your shop name, the kind of work you do, then one first win: a quote with Rex, your customer list, or a sample job.
- •Rex can draft your first quote. Describe the job; he shows the customer, vehicle, lines and total on one card and saves a draft only when you press Confirm.
- •Four settings are worth your first hour. Rates and tax, your logo, customer messages and Stripe payouts, in that order.
- •Your customers come over from a CSV. Exports from Jobber, Zoho CRM, Urable, Tint Wiz, OrbisX or any spreadsheet import, and re-uploading updates instead of duplicating.
- •When the trial ends, your work is kept. Access pauses until you choose a plan; jobs, customers, quotes and files stay saved.
Use the trial on a real job
A week is enough to judge shop software if you use it on real work. A sample job shows you the screens; a real one shows you whether the quote comes out right, the customer can approve it on their phone, and the deposit lands. So the first hour has three goals: one real quote out, the numbers that make it accurate, and your customer list brought over. Stages, inventory and the website can wait.
Step 1: Start the free trial (no card)
Go to wraptor.app/trial and create your account.
- •An eligible new shop starts a 7-day Wraptor Shop trial automatically and lands in the workspace. There's no plan picker and no payment form, and a demo is optional.
- •The deadline is saved once; reloading doesn't restart it, and each shop gets one trial. A banner counts down the time left, and the Trial · Nd pill in the top bar opens your plan options.
- •Every section is open, with no job, quote or invoice caps. Credit packs, WrapForce, API access and a hosted WrapMail address wait for a paid plan.
Step 2: Answer the quick start
The first time you open the workspace, a pop-up headed Let's get your shop working. asks two questions and offers three ways to start. It's labeled Quick start · about a minute, and it is.
- 1.Shop name prints on your quotes. If your account was given a generic name at signup, the box starts empty; type the name your customers know.
- 2.What kind of work do you do? offers Wraps, Tint, PPF, Signs & graphics, Print, Full service and Independent installer. Wraptor sets up your job stages and starter prices to match.
- 3.Where do you want to start? offers Quote a job with Rex (Step 3), Bring in my customers (Step 5) or Show me around with a sample job. Sample data is only added when you pick that last one. If a customer is already waiting on a reply, Reply to my waiting customer sits at the top.
Tax, deposit and rates can wait, as the footer says. Closing the pop-up with the X brings it back next visit; Skip for now retires it, and a Finish your quick start card on the Jobs board stays as the way back in. That card's Open guided setup link opens the full setup described in the onboarding guide.
Step 3: Get your first quote out with Rex
Rex is the assistant built into Wraptor. He reads your live shop data and can make changes, but only after you confirm them on a card (how Rex works). Press Quote a job with Rex and his panel opens over the page and asks what the job is.
- 1.Describe the job in plain words: who it's for, the vehicle, the work, and your price if you already have one. For example: "full printed wrap for Perez Plumbing's 2022 Ford Transit." He asks one question at a time for anything missing.
- 2.Rex proposes the quote on one approval card headed Draft this quote?, listing the Customer (your existing customer with that name, or a new one), the Vehicle, the Lines, the Total before tax, and Sends: "Nothing — it's saved as a draft for you to review."
- 3.Press Confirm and the customer, vehicle and draft quote are created together. To change something, press Cancel and ask again.
- 4.Open the quote and check the lines. Actions → Preview as customer shows the exact page the customer will get.
- 5.Press Send quote, add a Personal note if you like, and click Send email. The quote is marked sent only once the email has actually gone out. To text it instead, use Copy link, or record it with I shared it another way.
Prefer to click? Go to Money → Quotes → New Quote, answer Who is it for?, What are you doing? and Vehicle — optional, and press Start quote. The quote opens priced from your Quote Settings, and the customer approves it on a link that needs no login (quotes and estimates). One catch for wrap shops: a new shop has labor rows but no films, so wrap quotes open as a Flat price until you add a film in Step 4.
Bottom line: send a real quote in the first hour, even if your rates still need a second look.
Step 4: The setup worth doing in hour one
Four settings decide whether every later quote, invoice and email comes out right.
| Setting | Where | Why it matters this week |
|---|---|---|
| Rates, films, deposit and tax | Money → Quote Settings | New quotes price from these, and the tax rate ships at 0% |
| Logo | Settings → Shop Settings | It goes on every quote, invoice and customer email |
| Customer messages | Settings → Customer messages | Quote reminders and milestone emails ship off |
| Stripe payouts | Money → Payments | Customers can't pay a deposit by card until it's set up |
Rates, films, deposit and tax
The quickest route is the guided setup's Check your numbers screen, which shows your Installation rate, Sales tax rate, Deposit on new quotes and a Logo box filled with starter values; Save and continue writes them to Money → Quote Settings. For the full set:
- 1.Open Money → Quote Settings → Materials, labor & add-ons → Wrap. Press Load a starter catalog for ten starter films and the labor rows, or Add film to choose your own vinyl and laminate, enter the roll's Cost per roll and press Save roll cost, then set Charge for vinyl / sq ft and Charge for laminate / sq ft. Star your most-used film to make it the default.
- 2.Under Labor rates, set your rates and press Save labor. Rows marked Hours come from the vehicle use the vehicle's measured install hours.
- 3.In Quote defaults, choose your Deposit (quotes start at 50% until you change it), set Request the deposit automatically when a customer approves online, and press Save quote defaults.
- 4.In Sales tax & region, enter your rate as a percentage (8.25, not 0.0825) or choose We don't collect sales tax, then press Save tax & region.
Tint and PPF shops price from the Window tint and PPF tabs instead, where Load starters adds the usual items at $0 and inactive, ready for your prices. The full walkthrough is in the quote setup guide.
Your logo
Open Settings → Shop Settings and use Upload Logo (PNG, JPEG or HEIC, under 2 MB). It saves the moment you pick it. If the artwork is white or very light, turn on Light or white logo — use a dark backdrop on quotes, invoices & emails.
Customer messages
Settings → Customer messages is the one list of every email your customers get, each with its switch or an Always chip (settings guide).
- •On from the start: Invoice reminders and Appointment reminder.
- •Off until you flip them: Quote reminders, Win-back at 30 and 60 days, Scheduled, Work started and Ready for pickup. Turn on at least Quote reminders and Ready for pickup in week one.
- •Review request: paste your Google review link, press Save link, choose Ask on and flip the switch.
- •The sender line shows who customers see mail from. Until you connect a mailbox under Email accounts, mail goes from noreply@wraptor.app in your shop's name, with replies sent to your shop email. During the trial, connect the mailbox you already use.
Wraptor doesn't text customers today; the Text messages row reads Coming soon.
Stripe payouts
- 1.Open Money → Payments.
- 2.Click Set up payouts and complete the Stripe onboarding, using Finish payment setup for any remaining steps until the row shows Payments active.
- 3.Optionally turn on Offline payments (Zelle / cash / check) and save your Zelle handle.
Until payouts are live, the customer's pay page shows a How to pay block instead of a card button, and the automatic deposit request waits for card payments. Processing is deducted before payout at Stripe's cost plus a small buffer, with no separate Wraptor percentage (invoicing and payments).
Bottom line: rates and tax make the quote right, the logo makes it yours, the messages chase it, and payouts let the customer pay the deposit the minute they approve.
Step 5: Bring in your existing customers
Your second quote is faster when the customer is already on file.
- 1.Export customers from your old tool as a CSV, with vehicle columns if it has them. In Jobber that's Clients → the ⋯ menu → Export as CSV; in Zoho CRM, Contacts → ⋯ → Export.
- 2.Open the import hub (headed Bring your shop's data) and click your tool's tile, OrbisX, Urable, Tint Wiz, Zoho CRM or Jobber, or Another tool / plain CSV.
- 3.Upload the file and check the Maps to column. If most columns came in as — ignore —, click Auto-map with AI and check its proposal.
- 4.Click Continue, read the preview counts, then press Import N customers.
Re-uploading a corrected file updates the same customers instead of duplicating them, the file itself stays in your browser, and importing is open during the trial with no limit. Active jobs from Trello, Asana, monday.com, Jobber or ClickUp come in through Import jobs on the Jobs board. Details are in the imports guide.
What happens when the trial ends
The deadline is fixed when the trial starts, and the end is undramatic:
- •No charge and no cancellation step. A no-card trial simply ends.
- •Your work is kept. Workspace access pauses until you subscribe, but jobs, customers, quotes, invoices, files and Rex conversations stay saved.
- •To keep going, choose a plan from the trial banner or the Trial · Nd pill. After the trial ends, signing in lands you on the plan picker.
- •To start paying early, open Settings → Accounting & Billing → Subscription and click Activate membership, which ends the trial early and starts your paid membership.
The choice between the two plans mostly comes down to headcount:
| Wraptor Starter | Wraptor Shop | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | $99/month | $199/month |
| Seats | 2 | Unlimited |
| Locations | 1 | 1 included, more as a paid add-on |
| WrapMail mailboxes | 1 shared | Up to 3 |
| Also includes | Unlimited jobs, quotes and invoices; the hosted shop website | Everything in Starter, plus WrapForce, API access, the week Capacity planner, roll-level inventory, cost-drift alerts and the aggregated customer portal |
Annual billing is priced at ten months of the monthly rate. The trial runs on Wraptor Shop, so if you're leaning toward Starter, notice which Shop-only tools you've been using. Full details are on the pricing page.
Start with your next real job
The quickest way to know whether Wraptor fits is to put tomorrow's job through it: quote it with Rex, send it, and watch the deposit request and the tracking page from the customer's side. The free trial runs 7 days with no card required and ends without a charge, and if you'd rather have someone walk you through setup with your own numbers, book a demo.
FAQ
Do I need a credit card to start Wraptor's free trial? No. A new shop starts a 7-day Wraptor Shop trial without a card, a payment form or a demo. The trial ends without a charge, and billing only starts if you choose a plan.
What does the Wraptor quick start ask for? Your shop name, the kind of work you do, and where you want to start: a quote with Rex, importing your customers, or a sample job. It takes about a minute, and tax, deposit and rates can wait until later.
Can Rex send a quote for me? Rex drafts the quote and shows it on an approval card, and nothing is created until you press Confirm. The quote is saved as a draft, so sending it is still your move. You can then email it from the quote page or copy the link and text it.
What should I set up first in Wraptor? Your rates, films and sales tax in Quote Settings, then your logo, the customer messages you want on, and Stripe payouts so customers can pay deposits by card. In that order, your first real quotes go out priced right, branded, followed up and payable.
Can I import my customers during the trial? Yes. Importing is open during the trial with no limit on customers, vehicles or jobs. Upload a CSV export from Jobber, Zoho CRM, Urable, Tint Wiz, OrbisX or any spreadsheet, check the column mapping and import.
What happens to my data when the trial ends? It stays. Access to the workspace pauses until you choose a plan, but your jobs, customers, quotes, invoices and files are kept. Choose Wraptor Starter or Wraptor Shop and everything is where you left it.
Can I start a second trial later? No. Each shop gets one trial, and changing plans or letting it expire doesn't restart it. To keep working, choose a plan from the trial banner or the plan picker.
