The best window tint shop software in 2026, ranked honestly

Eight tint shop tools ranked on per-window pricing, packages, scheduling density, and film tracking, with real 2026 prices and doors — including when Tint Wiz is the better call.

By Sal Lara, Founder, Wraptor · Published September 10, 2026 · Vendor price-check dates shown below

Disclosure: Wraptor makes Wraptor. We rank ourselves first for the shops we were built for and say plainly who should pick something else.

A tint bay is the fastest-cycling business in the vehicle trades: four to eight cars a day, a quote that is a package rather than a measurement, and a customer who booked from a phone twenty minutes ago. The software that fits it is not the software that fits a wrap shop, which is why this page is not a copy of our wrap roundup with the nouns swapped. Two tools below are tint-native; one of them is ours, and we say where the other one wins.

The list also includes the tools a tint shop keeps getting pitched — the detailing scheduler, the home-service CRMs, the mechanical-repair system — with what each actually does with a five-window ceramic job. Prices and doors were checked on September 9, 2026.

The thing to hold onto while reading: a tint shop's margin is made or lost in minutes, not dollars. A quote that takes ten minutes instead of one is a car that booked somewhere else; a no-show on a Saturday slot is a bay that earned nothing for ninety minutes; a roll that ran out mid-job is a customer who comes back tomorrow, annoyed. The software that fits this trade is the software that removes minutes — from the quote, from the booking, from the film count, from the warranty lookup three years later. That is the yardstick below.

The yardstick

What a tint shop actually needs from software

Per-window and package pricing

Front two, back three, windshield strip, sunroof, full windshield; dyed, carbon, ceramic. A tint quote is a menu with a price per opening and a package for the whole car. The tool has to price that in one tap, not from a line-item estimate.

Scheduling density

Eight cars a day means slots, not appointments. Online booking with a deposit that actually holds the slot, reminders that cut no-shows, and a bay view your installer can read from across the shop.

Film tracking that understands rolls

Ceramic at $8 a foot deserves better than a product count. Roll footage, per-job deductions, and a low-stock alert before the Saturday rush finds an empty core.

Tint law on the quote

VLT limits differ by state and by window. The quote should carry the legal limit for the customer's state so the conversation about a 5% windshield happens before the film is cut. Wraptor's free tint-laws tool feeds this.

Warranty records

Lifetime film warranties are a real liability. The tool should generate the certificate at close, tie it to the vehicle, and find it in five seconds when a bubbling-film call comes in three years later.

Room to add wrap and PPF

Tint shops add PPF and wraps because the customer is already in the bay. A tint-only tool becomes the ceiling the day you buy a plotter.

Tool by tool

#1

Wraptor

$99 – $299/mo flat, no per-seat fees · Open pricing, a 7-day no-card trial, optional demo

Wraptor prices a tint job the way a tint shop sells it: per unit — per window, per panel, per each — from your own price list, or as a package (front two, full car, ceramic upgrade) the customer approves on one link. Online booking takes a deposit that holds the slot, the bay board shows the day at a glance, and the customer tracker page answers the "is it done?" text. Film is tracked by roll and footage with per-job deductions and low-stock alerts, and a warranty certificate is generated when the job closes.

The tint-law tool that runs on wraptor.app is the same data the quote uses, so the legal VLT for the customer's state is in front of you before the sale. And because it is the same platform that quotes wraps from 2,232 measured vehicles and runs PPF kits, the day you add a plotter you do not add a second tool.

Wraptor Starter is $99/mo, Wraptor Shop is $199/mo with unlimited seats. Start the 7-day no-card trial by choosing a plan; a demo is optional.

Where Tint Wiz is the better call: if you are a single-bay shop that only tints, has no plans to wrap or PPF, and wants a 30-day no-card trial and manufacturer dealer-platform ties (Solar Gard, Hüper Optik), Tint Wiz is a very good tool at a fair flat price. We put that in the not-for section rather than pretending otherwise.

Keep each department's stages on its own board and review them together on the combined jobs view. One customer job owns the work and billing. Schedule installs before the installation stage, switch between install and due dates, and use bays only if your shop has them. Today brings owners, next actions, blockers, follow-ups, and changes needing review to the floor manager. Staff review appointment-message drafts before sending; mobile photo selection keeps reference and inspection images with the job.

Best for: Tint shops that also wrap or PPF, or plan to

#2

Tint Wiz

$150/mo · 30-day trial, no card, self-serve

Tint Wiz was built for tint shops by a tint shop, sponsors the trade's events, and ships co-branded dealer platforms for two major film brands. Lead capture forms, quoting with Good/Better/Best tiers, scheduling, automated follow-ups, review requests, QuickBooks sync, and roll-level inventory are all there and all tuned for tint. The 30-day no-card trial is the most generous door on this list.

It thins out past tint: no design-print-install stages for wraps, no artwork proofing, no creative tools, no customer job tracker, and no AI. Payments run through Fullsteam rather than the shop's own Stripe. A single operator will find $150 flat steep; a three-bay shop will find it fair.

The honest comparison with Wraptor is not feature count, it is trajectory. If the shop will be a tint shop in three years, Tint Wiz's depth on tint and its manufacturer relationships are worth more than anything on our grid. If the shop will have a plotter and a PPF bay by then, the second tool you buy will cost more than the first one saved.

Best for: Tint-only shops

#3

Urable

$70 – $183/mo · Self-serve trial, then a post-signup demo

Urable's booking, deposits, reminders, and mobile-crew routing are strong, the price is the lowest on the list, and the 3D Visualizer sells PPF and tint upgrades on the customer's own model. Fullsteam owns it; Express $70, Pro $110, Enterprise $183, unlimited users on every tier.

It is a detailing scheduler underneath. There is no per-window pricing model, inventory is product counts rather than film rolls, there is no warranty certificate flow, and wrap management is minimal.

Best for: Detailing shops that tint on the side

#4

Shopmanager

$200 – $500/mo · Self-serve trial

Shopmanager targets PPF and tint shops directly with appointment scheduling, package pricing, and customer records in a modern interface. For a shop that wants a calendar with packages and nothing else, it is a clean fit.

The ceiling is low: no proofing, no job board with stages, no AI, no roll inventory, and thin reporting. Shops that grow out of it tend to grow out of it fast.

Best for: PPF and tint shops with simple workflows

#5

QuoteIQ

$29.99 – $699/mo · 14-day trial, self-serve

QuoteIQ's InstaQuote self-quoting and InstaSchedule work well for pressure washing and lawn care, and one user at $29.99/mo is the cheapest door here. Its own "top 8 softwares for window tinting businesses" listicle ranks it first.

It has no tint industry page and no vehicle model: no per-window pricing, no packages tied to a vehicle, no roll tracking, no warranty certificates. AI is metered by IQ Credits, payouts carry an unpublished QuoteIQ platform fee on top of Stripe, and a shop with five logins lands at $299/mo.

Where it belongs on this list is exactly here: cheaper than anything tint-native, more capable than a spreadsheet, and the wrong shape for a bay that prices by the window. A mobile tinter who also pressure-washes driveways could reasonably run on it. A shop could not.

Best for: Solo operators across many home-service trades

#6

Jobber

$49 – $499/mo + $29/user · 14-day trial on Grow, no card, self-serve

For a mobile tinter who quotes at the customer's driveway, Jobber's scheduling, routing, client hub, and payments are excellent, and the free-tool library is generous.

It has no per-window or package model, no material inventory, and no warranty records; every extra user is $29/mo on every plan.

Best for: Mobile tint crews

#7

Housecall Pro

$79/mo (1 user) – $329/mo (8 users) · 14-day trial, no card, self-serve

Housecall Pro's scheduling, dispatch, estimates, and customer portal are solid, and the 14-day no-card trial plus a 30-day money-back window is a friendly door.

Basic is one user and extra seats are $75–100/mo each; there is no per-window pricing, no film tracking, and no warranty flow. Trial signups report persistent outbound sales calls.

Best for: Home-service companies

#8

Shopmonkey

$239 – $499/mo + $20/user · 20-minute demo only, no trial

If the shop is primarily brakes and alignments with a tint bay in the corner, Shopmonkey's repair-order system is the right center of gravity and it is a well-supported product.

It has no package or per-window model, no film inventory, no warranty certificates, and is demo-only at $239/mo for three users plus $20 per extra user.

Best for: Mechanical shops with a tint bay

The honest part

Who should not pick Wraptor

A single-bay shop that only tints and never will wrap or PPF

Pick: Tint Wiz

It is tint-native, flat-priced, and has manufacturer dealer-platform ties Wraptor does not. Take the 30-day trial.

A detailer who tints a few cars a week

Pick: Urable

$70/mo with unlimited users and booking with deposits is the honest budget pick when tint is the side dish.

A mobile tinter with no shop

Pick: Jobber

Dispatch, routing, and on-site quoting matter more than a bay board, and Jobber does those better than anyone.

How we ranked

  • Every price and door on this page was checked against the vendor's own pricing page on September 9, 2026, and each rival's row reads from the same data as its /compare page — so a correction there corrects this page too. Where a vendor publishes no price (Workiz) we say so instead of guessing.
  • We ranked on one question: how much of the wrap, tint, or PPF workflow does the tool actually model? A vehicle database, panel square footage, film math, proofing, packages, and a customer-facing tracker score; a parts catalog or a dispatch map does not, however good it is for the trade it was built for.
  • We did not weight app-store ratings, YouTube subscriber counts, or paid press releases. We did read the one-star reviews for every tool, ours included.

Disclosure: Wraptor makes Wraptor. We rank ourselves first for the shops we were built for and say plainly who should pick something else.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need special software for a window tint shop?

You need three things a generic CRM does not have: per-window and package pricing, film tracked by roll footage, and warranty records tied to the vehicle. Add online booking with a deposit that holds the slot, because a tint shop lives on eight cars a day. Tint Wiz and Wraptor are the two tools on this list built with all of that; the home-service CRMs have none of it.

Is Tint Wiz better than Wraptor for a tint shop?

For a tint-only shop, it can be — it is tint-native, $150/mo flat with unlimited users, has a 30-day no-card trial, and ships dealer platforms with Solar Gard and Hüper Optik. Wraptor wins when the shop also wraps or installs PPF, or plans to: one platform quotes tint per window, wraps from measured square footage, and PPF by kit, with proofing, roll inventory, and a customer tracker across all three.

How much does tint shop software cost in 2026?

$70–$150/mo flat for the tint- and detail-native tools (Urable, Tint Wiz), $99–$199/mo flat for Wraptor, and $30–$330/mo plus $29–$100 per extra user for the home-service CRMs.

Is there free tint shop software?

Not really, and the free tiers that existed in 2025 are mostly gone: QuoteIQ retired its free plan, Workiz pulled its Lite plan in July 2026, and Wraptor retired its Free tier in September 2026. What you can get is a no-card trial (Jobber, Housecall Pro, Tint Wiz, Urable, Sign OS) or, at Wraptor, a 7-day no-card trial with an optional demo. Spreadsheets are free and stop working around ten active jobs.

Does Wraptor lock me in?

No. Every plan has a one-click export of all your data as a ZIP (customers, vehicles, jobs, quotes, invoices, files), a one-click cancel in Billing that ends the plan at the period end, and an import hub that brings data in from any CSV or from another tool's export.

Can a mixed-service shop track print and sign orders too?

Yes. Print & signs has a reusable product catalog with quantity breaks and finishing options, production tickets from approved specs, optional inventory-linked material costs, and reorders that recheck current catalog rates. Separate department boards keep signs, wraps, and PPF organized without duplicating customer jobs or billing.
