Guided setup: get your shop working in Wraptor

After your trial starts, the shop owner gets an invitation to Start guided setup. We recommend it so your first visit leads to real work. Skip setup dismisses the invitation; it does not keep coming back every time you visit.

Open the guide again from Continue guided setup in the Finish setup checklist or the top-bar newsfeed menu. Your saved shop settings remain available across devices. The guide remembers your place on the current browser.

Make yourself at home

Confirm your shop name and optional contact/address details. Choose your region, then your main service: wraps, tint, PPF, print, signs, full-service shop, or independent installer. Wraptor tailors the starting workflow and labor pricing. Shops with real jobs keep their existing workflow stages.

Bring your shop with you

The guide walks through each item separately, with a short explanation, a preview of how it works, and concrete next steps:

  1. Directory listing: claim or create your listing and review your services and contact details.
  2. Materials and pricing: load a starter catalog or add your materials, then review costs and labor.
  3. Import: bring customers and jobs from your previous app. Skip if you are starting fresh.
  4. Email: connect your existing mailbox or review WrapMail options under Email accounts.
  5. Accounting: connect QuickBooks or Xero and review the import and sync settings.
  6. Payments: set up payment collection and check whether charges are enabled.

Each setup screen opens in another tab so the guide stays available. Return to the guide after saving. It checks your saved configuration when you return; Check my progress checks again. Completed items show a confirmation. Every connection can be skipped without preventing you from using Wraptor. A connection may require provider authorization, plan entitlement, or fees shown on its setup screen.

Choose your feed

Pick Industry news, Shop updates, or Off. This changes the top-bar ticker for the whole shop. Shop updates combines internal announcements with automatic activity. The feed is visible on wide screens; the newsfeed menu and full updates page are available on smaller screens too.

Owners and managers with Settings access can change the preference from the top-bar feed menu or Settings > Team notifications. They can post or remove internal announcements on Shop updates. Automatic activity respects the viewer's feature permissions.

Get your first win

Choose what would help your shop most today. Organize a current job, build a customer quote, bring over existing work, follow up on invoices, connect email, or respond to a waiting lead. Wraptor opens that tool directly. Independent installers go to their installer profile.

If you do not have real work ready, explicitly choose Explore a sample job. Samples are never added just because you skipped setup. Selecting an action records your intent; actually creating a job or quote is still done in that tool.

Your first print order

Print and signage shops exploring a sample start with Sample — Two 3 × 6 ft Banners: two single-sided banners on 13 oz vinyl, with hems and grommets every 2 ft. It appears in Printing on a print board or Fabrication on a signage board. No sample vehicle is created. The attached Sample — Banner print order quote is a draft with suggested pricing and no tax; review rates and tax before using it for real work. Its prepress checks remain unchecked.

For your own work, open Money → Quotes → New Quote, choose the customer and Print & signs, then Start quote. For 50 yard signs, choose Yard signs, set quantity to 50, and review dimensions, sides, material, finishing and rates. A vehicle is optional.

Review starter recipes in Money → Quote Settings → Print & signs → Print catalog. On an order, Packet → Print job ticket opens the production specification without prices. A ticket made from a draft, including the sample, says the specification needs review. Reorder on the job's Quotes tab starts a fresh order from an existing print specification.

Rex's opening suggestions match your print/signage shop, including “How do I quote 50 yard signs?” The dashboard's first-win links lead to the quote, catalog and ticket instructions, according to your permissions.

Clear sample removes the untouched sample draft with its sample job. Edited, shared or invoiced quotes are kept, along with the customer they belong to. Jobs with invoices are kept too.

The existing Finish setup checklist remains available for later milestones. Invited teammates continue to use their separate Welcome aboard profile screen.
