Set up your quoting suite

Use Shop → Shop Standards to define what you sell. Use Money → Quote Settings for pricing and how new quotes behave. Both pages require the Settings permission.

1. Choose your services

In Shop → Shop Standards → What you sell, turn on Wrap, Window tint, PPF, Print & signs, or Other work. + Add your own creates a named service such as ceramic coating. These choices control the service chips on new quotes and the service tabs in Quote Settings. Print & signs quotes are priced from your print catalog — sizes, selling rates, quantity breaks and finishing options set once under Money → Quote Settings → Materials, labor & add-ons → Print & signs → 1. Print catalog. Load starter catalog there adds five starter products with suggested rates, badged suggested — edit to your shop until you save each one. See Print products; the steps below about films and the area estimator apply to wrap.

2. Choose your materials

Open Money → Quote Settings → Materials, labor & add-ons → Wrap → Add film.

  • Choose vinyl from inventory selects the exact stocked item. Check the SKU, especially when several rolls have the same product name.
  • Laminate (optional) links a separate laminate inventory item.
  • Or start from a material preset searches the catalog and suggests a selling price and durability. It does not prove that material is stocked, and it does not know what you paid.
  • For a new vinyl or laminate preset, Save preset to inventory & set roll cost creates an inventory item with zero stock. This saves the inventory item immediately; the quote film still needs Add film. Receive purchased stock through Inventory/Purchasing separately.

3. Enter what the roll costs you

For a selected inventory item, enter Width (in), Length (ft), and Cost per roll, then press Save roll cost. The panel shows roll area and cost per square foot. Saved lengths previously entered in yards are converted to feet for this panel.

Example: a 60-inch-wide, 150-foot-long roll contains 750 sq ft. If it costs $750, the material cost is $1 per sq ft.

This saves the inventory item's purchase cost and dimensions. It does not add stock, record a purchase expense, or change your selling price. For an item not measured in square feet, manage its cost in Inventory. Existing quote films expose the same controls through Roll cost & stock.

4. Set what customers pay

Enter Charge for vinyl / sq ft and Charge for laminate / sq ft. The combined amount is the material selling rate used by area estimates. Square-foot inventory items initially supply their saved selling price; you can edit the quote film's rate.

Keep purchase cost and selling price separate: $1 per sq ft of cost does not mean you must charge $1. Saving a roll cost does not set a markup or change the film price automatically. Press Add film to save the quote film. Use its star to make it the default material for new area estimates.

5. Set labor rates

Below materials, open 2. Labor rates. Add or rename labor rows, choose Per hour, Flat fee, Per sq ft, or Per panel, and enter your rate. Set default hours or panels where applicable. Hours come from the vehicle uses measured installation hours; On new estimates decides whether the row starts on new estimates. Press Save labor.

6. Add per-item extras

Use 3. Per-item add-ons on Wrap, 2. Per-item add-ons on Print & signs, or the items list under another service tab. Add a name, price, unit, default quantity, and tax basis. Examples include shop supplies, design fees, disposal, or removal.

  • On every new [service] quote includes the item automatically.
  • Customer can add this makes it an optional customer-selected add-on.
  • Starter items with zero prices remain inactive until priced and enabled.

7. Finish your quote defaults

The remaining cards in Quote Settings are Quote defaults, Quote flows, Sales tax & region, and Advanced. Set deposit, validity, terms, waste, document appearance, and tax. New quotes open as sets each service's preferred pricing flow. Advanced contains install-style adjustments.

Existing quotes retain their saved numbers. On an editable estimate, Re-run estimate can pull updated rates. Auto-deposit rules and payment instructions are read at approval, so those changes can affect the next approval of an older quote.

Use materials on a job

The new-job modal includes the shared preset picker and inventory selection. In an existing job, Materials → Plan a material adds planned material without deducting stock. Confirm the amount used later. The roll picker remains available for actual usage.
