Quick answer
Wraptor gives tint shops a fast quoting-to-invoice pipeline. With an optional demo, the 7-day Wraptor Shop trial starts when you open your workspace — no card required, no automatic charge — including the leads we route to you. Starter is $99/month; Shop is $199/month with unlimited seats and expanded tools.
Can we review requests and quotes before saving work?
Yes. Review the captured service and customer, then continue into a draft quote. Compare requested work with the draft and choose any additions. You enter prices, choose tax categories, and decide when to share. Proof feedback and job notes can also become reviewed checklist tasks or handoff clarifications.
Can we read scans and split documents between jobs?
Review text from supported PDFs, text documents, and English printed PNG/JPEG scans. Choose the job and category for the original, or assign pages separately and correct them later. Originals stay preserved. Automatic job matching and automatic filing are not offered.
Can we override an internal scheduling conflict?
Staff with scheduling access can choose Allow overlapping bookings for one save. Bay and crew conflicts are explained separately. A recorded finish releases unused bay time after cleanup; public self-booking keeps its conflict rules.
Can each department have its own board?
Yes. Start with Wraps, Signs, or PPF, then name the stages for your process. One customer job can contain work on several department boards, with optional dependencies and one customer and billing record. The combined jobs view shows where every department stands. Department boards are included on Fleet, with unlimited boards.
Can we schedule an install before production is finished?
Yes. Set an install date, time, and duration when creating or editing the job, independently of its workflow stage and promised due date. Switch Schedule between install dates and due dates, then use agenda, week, or month. Bays and crew assignments are optional: a shop with one install location can schedule there without creating a bay. Each employee can save Schedule, Today, List, or another available jobs view as their default.
How does the scheduler hand work over to the floor manager?
Assign scheduling and production owners, record the next action, flag a blocker, and set a follow-up on the job. The manager can acknowledge the version they reviewed; later changes remain visible in the handoff history. Today brings together today's and tomorrow's work, changes needing review, blockers, customers awaiting a reply, and follow-ups due. Quick capture turns a short note and reference photos into a job request for review, without requiring a vehicle or matched customer.
How do customers hear about appointment changes?
Staff can prepare an editable appointment message from a template, review it, and send it through the existing message composer. Track appointments as Tentative, Communicated, or Confirmed; rescheduling returns them to Tentative so the team knows to reconfirm. On a phone, photo uploads offer camera, library, or file selection, keeping reference and inspection photos with the work.
What is the best software for window tint shops?
Tint Wiz is the best-known tint-specific CRM at $150/month. Wraptor opens the whole app — the leads we route to you included — on a 7-day free trial. Starter includes monthly AI credits, WrapMail, and a hosted website at $99/month; Shop is $199/month with unlimited seats and expanded tools.
How do tint shops handle high job volume?
Tint is a volume business — a good two-bay shop turns 6–12 vehicles a day, and the bottleneck is almost never the install, it's the admin between installs. The fix is standardization: flat package pricing per vehicle class (sedan / coupe / SUV / truck), pre-built quotes that convert to invoices in one tap, one-click reuse of a winning quote on the next job so a repeat package never gets rebuilt from scratch, and the Today view showing installs, handoffs, blockers, and follow-ups at a glance. Wraptor's job board is built for this cadence: jobs move Lead → Scheduled → In Bay → QC → Done, staff can review and send appointment messages, and every invoice can split into a deposit and a balance — the customer pays each on one page, the schedule prints on the PDF, and a cash deposit taken at the counter clears itself automatically. Cars don't sit finished and unpaid, and bays don't sit held by someone who never put money down. Commercial work runs the same pipeline at fleet scale: quote a whole roster of vans in one builder with per-vehicle pricing groups, and one click turns the approved quote into a parent job with a child job per unit. Shops switching from paper books or generic calendars report saving 30–60 minutes of admin per day.
How should a tint shop track film inventory?
Track every roll by film line and VLT: brand and series (3M Ceramic IR, XPEL Prime, SunTek CIR, Llumar), VLT percentage (5%, 20%, 35%, 50%, 70%), width, and remaining footage. Running out of 20% ceramic mid-day costs you the afternoon's bookings. Wraptor tracks rolls with low-stock alerts and logs usage per job, so you see actual film cost per vehicle and reorder before you're out. It also surfaces which films actually sell — most shops discover 80% of jobs use three SKUs and stop over-stocking the rest.
What about window tint laws?
Every state sets its own legal VLT limits for each window position, and the shop is expected to know them — quoting an illegal front-window tint creates comebacks and liability. Keep a current reference at the point of sale: we maintain a free state-by-state guide at wraptor.app/blog/window-tint-laws-by-state covering VLT limits, windshield rules, and medical exemptions for all 50 states. Wraptor jobs record the film and VLT installed per window, so if a customer ever disputes what was installed, the record is on the invoice.
How much does tint shop software cost?
Tint-specific tools run roughly $100–$250 per month. Starter is $99/month and Shop is $199/month, and every plan opens with a 7-day free trial with Wraptor Shop features and trial usage allowances — no card required, no automatic charge. After the trial, access pauses and your work stays saved until you choose a paid plan.
Does Wraptor work for shops that do tint, wraps, and PPF?
Yes — that's the most common Wraptor shop profile. Each service keeps its own workflow: tint jobs run a fast same-day pipeline, wraps run the full Design → Print → Install → QC flow, PPF tracks film and warranty records. One login, one customer database, one invoice history. The services you offer are the services we place you for, and incoming leads are tagged by what the customer asked for — so a tint customer today becomes a wrap quote next quarter, and you can see that history in one place.
How do tint shops get more customers?
The highest-intent channel is local search: 'window tint near me' and 'tint shop [city]'. That means a complete Google Business Profile, steady review volume, and being where buyers actually look. Wraptor brings the leads to you: our team places your shop through partnership channels and builds the local SEO behind it — included, no ad spend, no per-lead fee — and quote requests land straight in your inbox tagged by service. Leads are routed by service area and never resold, and every one hits your lock screen the second it lands. Combine that with automatic review requests after pickup and a portfolio page (Wraptor's AI studio turns install photos into social-ready posts), and the marketing side mostly runs itself.
