The Wraptor handbook

WrapForce — the private design and install network

Who it's for

WrapForce is for the owner or manager who is out of capacity: a design you have no time to draw, or hands you do not have on the floor this week. It is a paid-plan benefit of Wraptor Shop and Wraptor Fleet.

It is shop-facing, not customer-facing. Wraptor does not sell wrap designs to vehicle owners and does not run a public design storefront — see Designs. Your customer never enters WrapForce; the work comes back to you and you stay the seller.

On the marketing site and the pricing checklist the same thing is called the Certified Network. Inside the app it is WrapForce.

Where it fits

WrapForce covers the design and production stages of the job workflow. The job is yours, on your own Jobs board — WrapForce only supplies the missing artwork or the missing pair of hands.

A freelancer you hire through the network is not a member of your shop, so they never appear on My Jobs. Hand off the work from the job itself with Packet or Installer link.

Overview

The page has two tabs.

  1. Design Support — order artwork from the Wraptor design desk at a fixed price per vehicle or layout. Nothing is charged in the app; Wraptor invoices you directly.
  2. Hire an Installer — the in-app door to the freelance installer and designer network at wraptor.app/installers, where you browse profiles, message, send hire requests and pay through escrow. That side is documented in full on Installers.

Every active plan (and the seven-day trial) can open /wrapforce. Plans without network access get an upgrade screen in place of the tabs, not a redirect. A shop with no plan is paused on the plan picker before it reaches any hub, so it never sees this page.

Screens & navigation

  • WrapForce (/wrapforce) — there is no sidebar row for it. Two doors, both shown on every plan: the corner ? help dock → Purchase a design, or ⌘K → WrapForce.
  • Design Support (/wrapforce?tab=designs) — the default tab.
  • Hire an Installer (/wrapforce?tab=installers).
  • The old /grow?tab=installers link redirects here.
  • On a plan without network access the whole page is a locked screen: WrapForce comes with Wraptor Shop, "The certified installer and designer network, built into your shop OS.", three bullets, an Upgrade to Wraptor Shop button, and the line "Wraptor Shop is $199/mo with unlimited seats. Everything in your shop stays exactly where it is."

Capabilities

Design Support — order a design

The tab is headed Pro design & install network with Private overflow support for eligible paid members. underneath, then the Order a design card, which carries a small PRO badge. ("Pro" here is the older name for what is now Wraptor Shop.)

Pick one service. Prices are per vehicle or layout:

ServicePriceWhat it covers
Full wrap design$250Complete coverage across every panel, laid out to your vehicle template.
Half & partial wrap design$150Partial coverage — half wraps, quarter panels, and accent treatments.
Spot graphics & lettering layout$50Door logos, lettering sets, phone numbers, and DOT/licence blocks.

Then fill in the rest of the card:

  • Quantity — a whole number from 1 to 25. Anything outside that is clamped back into range. The total is the service price multiplied by this number.
  • Vehicle or layout — required, up to 300 characters. The placeholder shows the level of detail that works: 2019 Ford Transit 250 high roof, driver + passenger.
  • Brief — optional, up to 4,000 characters. Brand colors, logos and fonts you'll supply, must-have copy, reference wraps, deadline.
  • The running total prints above the button as Total $X — invoiced directly, nothing is charged now.
  • Place order stays disabled until Vehicle or layout has something in it.

When it goes through, the card is replaced by Order received: "It went straight to the Wraptor design desk. You'll be invoiced directly — nothing was charged now." with a Reference code, and an Order another button that returns you to a blank form.

There is no Stripe checkout in this flow and no order history screen in the app. The reference on that panel is your copy of the order; Wraptor takes it from there by email and invoices you.

Hire an Installer

The tab is headed Hire an installer or designer — "Extra hands when you need them — for a big install week or design overflow."

  • Freelance installers & designers — "Vetted freelancers by skill, city, and travel radius — extra hands for the big fleet week, a designer for the overflow. Escrow-protected payments." Two buttons: Browse the network opens the public roster at wraptor.app/installers, and Get listed & get hired opens wraptor.app/installers/join for a freelancer signing up.
  • Job board — coming next — a placeholder card, not a working feature. Posting full-time openings is not built yet.

Everything past Browse the network — filters, profiles, Message, Request this installer, escrow payments, releases, disputes and reviews — is on Installers.

Step-by-step tasks

  1. Order a design from the Wraptor desk

    1. Open the corner ? help dock → Purchase a design (or ⌘K → WrapForce).
    2. Stay on Design Support and pick the service that matches the coverage.
    3. Set Quantity to the number of vehicles or layouts you need at that price.
    4. Fill in Vehicle or layout — year, make, model, roof height and which panels.
    5. Use Brief for brand colors, the logo and font files you'll supply, must-have copy, reference wraps and your deadline.
    6. Check the total, click Place order, and keep the Reference code. Watch for the invoice by email.
  2. Bring in outside hands for an install week

    1. Open WrapForce → Hire an Installer → Browse the network.
    2. Filter by skill (or narrow to insured freelancers), open a profile, and use Message or Request this installer. See Installers for the whole flow, including escrow.
    3. Keep the job on your own board and hand off from it — Packet for printable sheets, Installer link for a no-login page they can run from a phone.

Settings & permissions

  • WrapForce has no settings of its own and no separate permission. Any signed-in member of an eligible shop can open it and place a design order.
  • Included on Wraptor Shop ($199/mo) and Wraptor Fleet ($299/mo), plus grandfathered Wraptor Pro (original) plans and comped accounts. See Plans.
  • Not included on Wraptor Starter, and not on the grandfathered Founder Special or Wraptor Founder plans.
  • The seven-day card-backed trial does not unlock it. A shop trialing Wraptor Shop still sees the locked door — this is one of the few features that waits for a real subscription.
  • Losing access does not strand work in flight: message threads and hire requests you already have keep working after a downgrade. Only new threads and new requests are refused.
  • The same gate runs on the installer profile pages. Signed in without network access, the profile shows "Messaging and hiring through the private design and install network is included with Wraptor Shop" and an Upgrade to Wraptor Shop button instead of the Message and Request this installer controls.

Tips & common pitfalls

  • Nothing is charged in WrapForce. A design order is a request, not a purchase. You are invoiced separately, so the total on screen is what to expect on the invoice — not a card charge.
  • Keep the reference code. There is no design-order list in the app and no confirmation email to the shop, so the reference on the Order received panel is your only record until the invoice lands.
  • The design desk is not WrapStudio. WrapStudio is your own AI and layout workspace and runs on credits. WrapForce hands the job to Wraptor's designers at a flat price. Use WrapStudio for volume, WrapForce for the ones you have no time for.
  • This is not the customer directory. Directory is your public listing that faces vehicle owners. WrapForce faces shops hiring labor and design.
  • The Job board card is a preview. Nothing on it is clickable and no openings can be posted yet.
  • Write the brief once, properly. The desk works from what you type — vehicle, panels, brand assets, deadline. Thin briefs come back as questions.
  • Installers — the network roster, hire requests, messaging, escrow payments and reviews.
  • Designs — why the public design storefront is retired and what replaced it.
  • WrapStudio Design — the shop's own design workspace.
  • Plans — what Wraptor Shop and Wraptor Fleet include, and the seven-day trial.
  • Jobs — where the work stays while the network helps: Packet and Installer link.
  • Directory — the customer-facing listing, not this network.
