Website Builder — an AI-generated shop website on your own domain

Who it's for

Owners and managers who need a real website without an agency invoice. The builder generates a complete multi-page site from your actual shop facts, and keeping it current is a conversation, not a project. The hosted site is part of every plan, and of the 7-day free trial.

Where it fits

The site lives in the sidebar under Growth → Web Presence (/website). That hub has two tabs — Website and Magic Wrap — and the full-screen editor opens behind it at /website/editor.

Everything the site collects becomes a lead. Quote-form, quote-wizard and Magic Wrap submissions land in Leads → Leads under Website leads, beside your directory leads, with the same convert-to-job flow. See Marketing for the Lead Inbox and Directory for the other half of the demand engine.

Old bookmarks still land somewhere real: /marketing?tab=presence&section=site redirects to Web Presence → Website, and …&section=estimator redirects to Web Presence → Magic Wrap. The separate Estimator tab was merged into Magic Wrap.

Overview

Three layers, all optional — use as much as you want:

  • Generate: a three-step wizard confirms your shop facts, asks which pages you want and what vibe you're after, then writes the whole site — pages, copy, theme and imagery. It grounds every claim in real shop facts and never invents years in business, awards, staff, testimonials, reviews or customer names.
  • Edit: the real site renders inside the editor. Click text to change it in place, click a block for its toolbar, add blocks from the library, and ask the Copilot for changes you would rather describe than build. Every copilot change needs your approval and lands as a draft.
  • Publish: edits autosave as drafts and reach visitors only when you press Go live the first time, then Publish. The site is served at <your-address>.wraptor.app, or at a domain you already own.

Screens & navigation

  • Web Presence → Website — the overview card: a live thumbnail with a Live or Offline badge, your address, a page / photo / review-rating line, Open editor →, Generate with AI, and a strip for connecting your own domain.
  • Web Presence → Magic Wrap — one embed that gives visitors an instant price range, an AI wrap designer, or both, under your brand. Holds Install on your website, What visitors can do, Appearance, Coverage price ranges and a live preview of the widget.
  • The editor (/website/editor) — top bar with the page picker, desktop / tablet / mobile preview, undo and redo, save status, your AI credits, Template, Generate, Preview and the publish button. Left rail: Pages · Blocks · Theme · Posts · Settings. Canvas in the middle. Right rail: Edit (the inspector for the selected block) and Copilot.
  • Your site — <address>.wraptor.app or your custom domain, plus /blog for your posts and /book when online booking is on. Preview shows drafts to signed-in members of your shop only; visitors never see them.

Capabilities

  • Blocks — 22 types in four groups. Content: Hero, Text, Call to action, Video, Blog posts. Proof: Gallery, Before / after, Testimonials, Reviews, Stats, Films & certs. Info: Services, Pricing, How it works, FAQ, Hours & location, Map, Team. Convert: Quote form, Service menu, Quote wizard, Magic Wrap. About half carry layout variants you pick from the block's toolbar or the Edit rail — Grid / Masonry / Carousel / Showcase (editorial) on Gallery, Classic / Split / Full bleed on Hero, and so on. Up to 40 blocks on a page.
  • Pages — up to 16. Each has its own address, Nav label, Show in navigation switch, published state and SEO title and description; drag the rows to reorder navigation. Each page keeps up to 20 versions under History, with Restore — a checkpoint at most once every 10 minutes of editing, plus one each time you publish.
  • Themes — 34 presets split into Dark presets and Light presets, each shown as a mini site preview. On top of a preset you set an accent from the swatch row or a hex value, and Display and Body fonts from the curated list or your own uploads (up to 5 brand fonts — WOFF2, WOFF, TTF or OTF up to 5 MB, with a license confirmation). Theme changes preview in the editor and reach the live site with your next publish.
  • Blog — the Posts rail tab writes Markdown posts with an excerpt, cover image and their own SEO fields, up to 200 posts. A post's Published switch takes effect immediately; it does not wait for the site publish. A job's Inspection tab can seed one for you: tick Also draft a post on your website when you create a before/after showcase and you get an unpublished post, Before & After: …, with both photos and the composite as its cover.
  • Reviews — the Reviews block leads with the verified reviews from your Wraptor listing (★ average, "N verified reviews", cards badged Verified customer) and shows your Google rating as a secondary line.
  • Leads — the Quote form block asks for name, phone or email, vehicle, service, timeline and a message. The Quote wizard block walks a visitor through vehicle → service → the coverage or package questions for that service → photos → contact and timeline, then offers Track your request →. Both ring your bell as "New website lead: …" and file under Website leads.
  • AI — the site wizard costs 10 credits and covers copy for every page plus up to 6 images. The copilot spends 1 credit per applied change, a generated image 1, a blog draft 2, and Write my site (Settings rail) 1. Every AI surface writes structured blocks, never raw code, so what it makes stays editable and theme-able afterwards.
  • Hosting — an address you can change under Settings → Address, a per-site sitemap.xml and robots.txt generated for you, and SEO title and description for the site and for each page.

Step-by-step tasks

  1. Generate your site

    1. Open Web Presence → Website, then choose Generate with AI — or Generate in the editor's top bar.
    2. Step 1 of 3 — check the shop name, phone, location and services Wraptor already holds, add or remove services, pick vibe chips (Bold, Premium, Clean, Aggressive, Family-owned, Race-inspired, or your own), and tick Match my logo's colors/style if you have a logo.
    3. Step 2 of 3 — Home is always included; on top of it add Services, Tint Pricing, Gallery, About, Contact or your own page names, up to 8.
    4. Step 3 of 3 — confirm the credit cost, then Generate my site. It replaces your current unpublished drafts; published pages stay live until you publish again.
  2. Change something by hand

    1. Open the editor and click the text you want to change — it edits in place.
    2. Click a block to select it. Its toolbar appears above it: drag handle, layout variant, move up, move down, duplicate, hide or show, delete.
    3. Add blocks from the Blocks rail, or with the Add block button that sits between blocks on the canvas.
  3. Change something by asking

    1. Open the right rail's Copilot tab and describe the change — for example "Add an FAQ about ceramic tint", "Make the hero punchier", "Add a PPF pricing page".
    2. Each write shows a card first: Approve or Deny. After it runs you get Keep or Undo.
    3. Changes land as drafts. Nothing reaches visitors until you publish.
  4. Publish

    1. The top bar reads Saving…, Unsaved changes or All changes saved — editing autosaves.
    2. Press Go live the first time. After that the button reads Publish (N), where N counts the pages and the theme still waiting to go out.
    3. Once live and clean the button reads Live, and its panel offers View site and Take site offline.
  5. Connect your domain

    1. In the editor, open the Settings rail tab → Custom domain, type a domain you own, and press Connect.
    2. Add the Type / Name / Value records it prints at your DNS provider, then press Check status. DNS can take up to an hour.
    3. The chip flips from Pending DNS to Connected and the site answers on your domain.
    4. Disconnect releases it. A wraptor.app address can't be used as a custom domain.
  6. Put Magic Wrap on a website

    1. Open Web Presence → Magic Wrap.
    2. Under What visitors can do, turn on Instant estimate, AI wrap designer, or both. The designer adds a Max visitor runs per day box (1–25) that caps what visitors can spend of your credits. Set Appearance (theme, accent, headline, corners) and Coverage price ranges, then save.
    3. Install on your website then shows your private embed code. Copy embed code and paste it into an HTML block on Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or any page. On your own Wraptor site you need no code — add the Magic Wrap block in the editor instead.
    4. The panel's chip reads Offline, Needs save or Not published when something is missing. Turn a mode on and save until it goes live.
    5. Rotate key issues a new code and disables every old embed. Existing estimator or Magic Wrap embed codes keep working and now show this unified tool, so there is no need to re-paste after the merge.

Settings & permissions

  • The hosted site comes with every plan — Wraptor Starter and up — and with a live no-card 7-day trial. There is no free plan; a shop without a plan lands on the plan picker, and canceling keeps its data.
  • Opening Web Presence needs the Marketing permission, and so do saving, publishing, page changes and domain changes. Opening the editor itself only needs a signed-in account on an eligible plan.
  • The Magic Wrap tab only appears for accounts with the Billing & Quotes permission. Its AI wrap designer half also needs an eligible plan — Wraptor Fleet today, plus grandfathered plans that already carried it — and AI credits. Other plans see an Eligible plan badge and a See plans link; the instant estimate half keeps working.
  • The AI credit meter in the editor's top bar only renders for accounts with the Billing & Quotes permission.

Tips & common pitfalls

  • Every edit starts as a draft. Preview in the top bar shows drafts to you; the public address shows only what you published.
  • The wizard and the copilot never add Gallery, Before / after, Testimonials, Reviews, Team, Video, Quote wizard, Magic Wrap, Service menu or Blog posts blocks. Those need real photos, reviews, staff or live data that has to come from you — add them yourself and fill them in.
  • Gallery images are the ones you choose: Upload, From Drive, or From Studio, which lists your 30 most recent Studio showcase renders. Before/after composites are not in that list; the drafted Before & After blog post is how one reaches the site. Nothing lands in the gallery automatically.
  • A trial's AI allowance is 15 credits for the life of the shop and the site wizard costs 10, so plan on one full generation before you activate a paid plan. Paid plans get a monthly allowance instead.
  • On a phone you get a slimmer editor: switch pages, edit a block's fields in a bottom sheet (move, hide, duplicate, delete), change the theme, undo and redo, preview, publish, and Site settings. Adding blocks, managing pages and the copilot are desktop work, and the editor says so in a banner.
  • If the subscription lapses the site stops serving. It is never deleted or unpublished, and it comes back the moment the plan does.
  • The site footer carries a Powered by Wraptor link on every plan.
  • Template in the top bar replaces the current page with the starter layout. It asks first, and ⌘Z undoes it.
  • Marketing — the Lead Inbox your site feeds, plus the listing, reviews and promotion tools.
  • Directory — the public listing that feeds the same inbox and supplies the verified reviews the Reviews block shows.
  • Studio — where the images under From Studio come from.
  • Booking — powers the Service menu block and the /book page on your site.
  • Plans — what each plan includes.
