The Wraptor App — leads on your lock screen

Wraptor installs as an app on your phone and pushes the moments that matter — a new lead, a booking request, a payment — straight to your lock screen. It is the same Wraptor you use in a browser, in its own window, with alerts that arrive when the app is closed.

Push and the installed app are on every plan, the 7-day free trial included.

Installing

The install door is in the bottom navigation — the bar Wraptor shows on a narrow screen. It carries up to four tabs and a More tab; open More and scroll to Install app, just above Sign out.

  • iPhone and iPad — tapping Install app shows the recipe rather than a prompt: in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Do it once. On iPhone this is also what unlocks lock-screen notifications.
  • Android — tapping Install app fires your browser's own install prompt. Accept it. The row only appears once your browser has decided Wraptor is installable, so give the page a moment if it isn't there yet.
  • On a wide window — a computer, or a large tablet turned landscape — the bottom bar and its More sheet don't render at all, so there is no Install app row. Use your browser's own install control if you want Wraptor in its own window.

Install app disappears once you are already running the installed app.

You get a Wraptor icon on your home screen and a standalone window with no browser chrome. The app opens on Home — My Jobs for a teammate on the built-in Installer role, and the jobs board for a role whose permissions don't include the dashboard.

Turning on notifications

There are three doors. All three do the same thing for the device you are holding.

  • Setup checklist — the owner's Finish setup strip on Home and the jobs board carries Get leads on your lock screen ("Turn on push for this device — new leads, opened quotes, payments."). It runs in place: the step's line reads Turning on… and then ticks itself. The step is skippable, and the whole strip disappears once every step is done or you hide it for good.
  • Notification bell — open the bell in the top bar and tap the footer button Get these on this device — leads hit your lock screen. The button only shows when this device can take push and does not have it yet.
  • Settings → Team notifications → Device notifications → Push on this device — the switch, and the only one of the three that also turns push back off. Settings needs the Settings permission, which by default only the Manager role holds.

Approve the browser prompt once when it appears.

  • It is per device. Turn it on separately on your phone, the shop tablet, and the desk computer. The checklist step ticks as soon as any one device on the shop has push on.
  • A device belongs to whoever is signed in on it. Shop-wide alerts go to every registered device in the shop. Alerts meant for one person — crew stage pings, schedule changes, your own follow-ups — only reach that person's devices.

What lands on your lock screen

Every notification that reaches your bell also goes out as a push, even when the app is closed. Among them:

  • New lead: {service} on a {vehicle} — a directory or website lead routed to you.
  • New booking: {vehicle} or Booking request: {vehicle} — a customer booked or asked for a slot online.
  • {customer} just opened Quote SO-… — ${total} and {customer} just opened proof v{n} on JOB-… — the first time a customer opens what you sent. Second opens are silent, and a view by someone signed in to your own shop never counts.
  • Deposit paid — INV-… / Invoice paid — INV-…, with the gross, the processing fee, and what nets to your Stripe balance ("$682.09 by card · $22.13 processing · $659.96 to your Stripe balance").
  • Invoice {n} is now overdue — {amount} outstanding, and the hand-off after the third and final automatic reminder.
  • Ready for {stage}: {job} crew pings, schedule changes (You're on the schedule, Schedule changed, Cancelled), and Follow-up due today.

Tapping a notification opens the screen it points at — the job, the quote, the Leads inbox. If Wraptor is already open on that device it jumps there instead of opening a second window. Repeat alerts about the same record replace the earlier one rather than stacking.

To read what you have already been sent, use the bell in the top bar: it lists your recent notifications, badges the unread count, and offers Mark all read. Settings → Team notifications → What your team gets is where you choose which alerts Wraptor sends you and your team: one switch per group (daily briefing email, overdue alerts, new leads, lead reminders, customer replies, customer views, bookings, payments received, assignments & schedule, reviews & showcase), plus Pause all alerts. Switching a group off silences its bell, push and email for the whole shop; the records themselves still show in the app. Money-at-risk alerts (disputes, duplicate payments, payout problems, bounced email) and team invites stay on.

Tips & common pitfalls

  • The bell button only switches push on. To switch it off, use Settings → Team notifications → Device notifications → Push on this device, or your browser's site settings.
  • Blocked notifications have to be fixed in the browser. The switch goes grey and reads "Notifications are blocked for this site — allow them in your browser's site settings first." Wraptor cannot re-ask on your behalf.
  • Some browsers cannot do it at all. The switch then reads "Not available in this browser. Open Wraptor on your phone to get lock-screen alerts."
  • Uninstalling the app or clearing site data quietly unsubscribes that device. Turn it back on from the bell or the Settings switch.
  • On iPhone, add Wraptor to the home screen first. Notifications stay unavailable in plain Safari until the app is installed.
  • The installed app still needs a connection. Wraptor does not cache pages for offline use — the app window is the live app, not a copy.
  • Installer logins have no push door. A teammate on the built-in Installer role gets a stripped app: no bell in the top bar, and every route outside My Jobs, the focused work view, Scheduling, Team Chat and their profile bounces back to My Jobs. They can install the app, but push cannot be switched on from that login, so stage pings and schedule changes aimed at them never reach that lock screen. Move them to a role with wider access if they need the alerts.
  • Onboarding — the setup checklist, including Get leads on your lock screen.
  • Settings — Team notifications: the per-device push switch, crew pings, and the alert list.
  • Jobs — crew stage pings and the Notify crew button.
  • Booking — where booking requests land when the push arrives.
  • My Jobs — the work-home for members on the built-in Installer role.
  • Messages — team chat does not ring the bell and does not push.
