Dashboard overview — your shop at a glance

In the navigation this screen is labeled Home. (This guide is filed under "Dashboard overview," but the link you click says Home.)

Who it's for

Home is the owner's and manager's read on the shop: what's coming in, what's in flight, who's busy, and what's owed.

You are not sent here when you sign in. Every account lands on the Jobs board after sign-in — Home is a screen you go to, not the one you start on.

Home has two tabs:

  • Overview — the live pulse. Needs the Dashboard permission, which the built-in Manager role holds.
  • Today — the shop's daily open/run/close checklist. Needs the Daily Ops permission, which the Designer, Production and Installer roles hold as well.

Members on the built-in Installer role never reach Home: /dashboard sends them to My Jobs.

Where it fits

Home is the pulse monitor for the whole shop. It pulls live numbers from across Wraptor — leads, jobs, quotes, invoices, your team, your ink — into one screen so you can spot what matters and click straight into it.

It is almost entirely read-only. The only things you act on from Home are the four quick-create buttons in the greeting line, the one-line service-area card, the First win strip and the setup checklist. Most figures link into the screen that owns them; the four headline numbers across the top are plain text.

Think of Home as the everyday companion to Money → Reports: Home answers "how are we doing right now?", while Reports answers "what do the trends and the money look like over months?"

Overview

The Overview tab

Top to bottom. First win, Where's your shop?, the briefing card, Finish setup and Low Ink appear only when they have something to say. The rest of the page always renders, empty-handed if it has to.

  1. The greeting line — today's date, then Good morning / Good afternoon / Good evening (or Working late before 5am) with your first name, plus four buttons that start the common creates: New quote, New job, New customer, New vehicle.
  2. First win — one strip of chips reading "pick one — about a minute each", shown only while the shop has no real job, no quote, no real customer and no Studio render. The sample job and sample customer don't count against it. The chips are AI mockup, First job, Add a customer. The × hides it for good on that device.
  3. Where's your shop? — a City and State line with a Save button, shown only while no city is on file. Your city is what routes nearby directory leads to you; the card disappears once it's saved.
  4. The briefing card — your day, in three parts: Today's schedule (each booking's time and title, then its bay, crew and job number, linking to Scheduling), Follow-ups due or overdue, and Needs your attention — small tiles for jobs due today, overdue jobs, unpaid dollars, leads waiting, quiet quotes and at-risk jobs. Every tile is a link. Times read in your shop's timezone. If none of that applies, the card doesn't appear. The same briefing goes out once a day by email to your shop's contact address on a paid plan or a live trial.
  5. Finish setup — the setup checklist, as a slim progress strip that expands. Shop owners only; see Onboarding.
  6. The metrics band — four numbers across the top: New Leads, Active Jobs, Revenue (Paid) and Outstanding. Each carries a one-line footer: leads awaiting first reply, jobs completed this month, "Collected this month", and — when any job is on hold — "{n} on hold · awaiting payment" (otherwise just "Awaiting payment"). These four are text, not links.
  7. Your pipeline — the lead → job → paid band. Five linked tiles: Leads, Quoted, In production, Invoiced, Paid. Quoted counts the quotes you've sent that nobody has answered yet, and shows their value once there is one. When there's money mid-funnel, the header also shows a total in flight — quoted plus outstanding.
  8. Job Pipeline — one bar for each workflow stage that currently holds a job, sized against your busiest stage, so you can see where work is piling up. A stage with nothing in it gets no bar. Underneath it, the quote line: how many quotes are pending and their value, and how many are approved and their value. That line only appears once you have a sent or an approved quote.
  9. Team Workload — everyone carrying active jobs, ranked by how many, each with their role under their name and a bar scaled against your busiest person. Anyone with no active assignment is left off. The footer reads "{n} on the floor" beside a total labelled "active jobs". With nobody assigned it reads No active assignments.
  10. Low Ink — an amber card that appears only when a printer channel is running low, listing the color, the printer and the level, plus a link out to the reorder page if you saved one for that channel.
  11. Recent Activity — the last eight stage moves in the shop: job number, who moved it, the stage it landed in, and how long ago. Click any row to open that job. A move with no signed-in person behind it — a system or customer-link change — shows no name. With nothing logged it reads No recent activity.

The Today tab

Today is the shop's daily routine — the same open/run/close checklist documented in Ops, grouped into Opening, Production and Closing, with progress that resets each day.

Screens & navigation

Reach Home from the Home link in the navigation. On a phone the four bottom-bar slots go to the screens your role uses most, so Home is a bottom tab for some roles and sits in the More sheet for others.

Switch between Overview and Today with the tabs at the top of the page; the tab you pick shows in the address as ?tab=today. On a phone the sticky header above the metrics reads Dashboard — same screen, older wording.

Everything on Overview is live — there's no refresh button to hunt for, and each visit re-reads the current numbers. Two things are remembered in your browser rather than on your account: whether the Finish setup list is expanded, and whether you dismissed the First win strip on this device. Dismissing Finish setup with the × is different — that hides it for the whole shop, permanently.

Capabilities

Read the shop in seconds

  • Four headline numbers: leads waiting, work in flight, money collected, money owed.

See the money at every step

  • Your pipeline puts a figure on each stage from lead to paid, and each tile clicks through to the list behind it: Leads, Money → Quotes, Jobs, Money → Invoices.

Start the day from one card

  • The briefing card shows today's bookings, the follow-ups that came due, and a short "needs your attention" grid — before you open anything else.

Spot bottlenecks

  • Job Pipeline shows which stage is backing up; the quote line under it shows how much potential work is sitting unapproved.

Balance the team

  • Team Workload ranks who has the most active jobs so you can redistribute before someone's buried.

Catch problems early

  • Low Ink only shows up when a channel needs attention, with a link straight to your reorder page when you've saved one.

Jump straight to work

  • Every Recent Activity row opens the job that moved, so Home is also a launchpad.

Start something new

  • The greeting line's four buttons open a new quote, job, customer or vehicle without a detour through their hubs.

Finish onboarding

  • The Finish setup checklist links each remaining milestone to the exact screen that completes it — or finishes it in the card, as Tailor your workflow and Get leads on your lock screen do.

Step-by-step tasks

  1. Do your morning check-in

    1. Open Home.
    2. Read the briefing card: today's schedule, then follow-ups, then "Needs your attention".
    3. Scan the four metrics, then Your pipeline for where the money is sitting.
    4. Check Job Pipeline for a stage that's backing up, and Team Workload for who's loaded.
    5. Glance for a Low Ink card and reorder if it's there.
  2. Jump to a job from the activity feed

    1. In Recent Activity, find the job that moved.
    2. Click the row to open that job.
  3. Start a quote, job, customer or vehicle

    1. In the greeting line, click New quote, New job, New customer or New vehicle.
    2. New quote opens Money → Quotes with the New Quote sheet already up.
  4. Set your service area

    1. On the Where's your shop? card, type your City and State.
    2. Click Save. The card disappears and nearby directory leads start routing to you.
  5. Finish setting up your shop

    1. Click the Finish setup strip to expand the list. It shows how many of the six you've done.
    2. Click any unchecked milestone: Tailor your workflow (a picker opens in the card — Vehicle Wraps, Window Tint, Paint Protection Film, Print & Cut, Signage, Multi-service / Combo), Bring in your first real job (or Import your data), Set your quote standards (2 min) → Money → Quote Settings, Build your first quote, Connect the email you already use → Inbox, Get leads on your lock screen (turns on push for this device without leaving Home).
    3. Picking a service under Tailor your workflow does three things at once: it stamps your shop type, it lays down that trade's workflow stages (only while you still have no real job), and — where you haven't chosen already — it fills in Money → Quote Settings → What you sell and adds starting labor rows to Materials, labor & add-ons. Anything you set yourself is left alone.
    4. Items tick themselves off once the underlying work is done.
  6. Skip a milestone you won't do

    1. Expand Finish setup.
    2. Click Skip beside the item. It counts as done so the list can finish. Tailor your workflow has no Skip — pick a service to clear it.
  7. Hide the setup checklist

    1. Click the × on the Finish setup strip.
    2. It's gone for the whole shop, for good. (It also disappears on its own once every item is done or skipped.)
  8. Run today's checklist

    1. Open Home → Today.
    2. Work down Opening, Production and Closing, checking items off. See Ops.

Settings & permissions

Who sees it The Home link shows for anyone holding either the Dashboard or the Daily Ops permission — which means Designer, Production and Installer roles see the link too. What's behind it differs: Overview needs Dashboard, and Today needs Daily Ops. A role with only Daily Ops that clicks Home is sent to the Jobs board; they reach the checklist at /dashboard?tab=today. Members on the built-in Installer role are sent to My Jobs from any /dashboard address.

Granting it to a custom role If you build a custom role and want it to open the Overview tab, give that role Dashboard access plus Jobs and Inventory. Overview pulls stage names from Jobs and low-ink readings from Inventory, so a role with the dashboard but not those two hits an error. (Managers already have everything, so this only matters for custom roles.)

Who sees the setup checklist Finish setup renders for shop owners only. Managers who aren't the owner see the rest of the page without it.

Saving your city needs Settings The Where's your shop? card shows to anyone who can open Overview, but Save writes shop details, so it needs the Settings permission. Managers have it; a custom role with Dashboard but not Settings sees the card and can't save it.

Home during the trial Home is open during the 7-day free trial like every other hub, with no caps. A shop with no plan never reaches Home — every sign-in lands on the plan picker until the trial starts. See Plans.

Nothing to configure There are no settings on Home itself — it reflects what's happening elsewhere. To change what it shows, change the underlying data: rename your stages in Settings → Workflow → Workflow Stages (see Settings), record payments in Invoicing & billing, assign jobs in Jobs, log ink readings in Inventory.

Tips & common pitfalls

  • "Revenue (Paid)" is your paid total to date, not this month. It sums every invoice marked paid, with no date cut-off, even though the small print under the number reads "Collected this month". For a true month-by-month picture use Reports.
  • "Outstanding" counts whole invoices, not remaining balances. It adds up the full total of every sent, partly-paid and overdue invoice — so an invoice with a deposit already on it still contributes its entire amount. The exact balance owed is on the invoice itself.
  • On-hold jobs sit outside the counts. Active Jobs, the Job Pipeline bars and Team Workload all skip jobs you've put on hold. The count of held jobs shows in the footer under Outstanding.
  • Team Workload counts assignments, not jobs. A job with two people on it lands in both their rows, so the footer total can read higher than Active Jobs. Use it to compare who is loaded, not to count the shop's work.
  • The quote figures have no date cut-off. Quoted on Your pipeline and "quotes pending" under Job Pipeline are the quotes sitting sent and unanswered right now — drafts aren't in either. "Approved" is every quote you've ever had approved, not this month's.
  • "Completed this month" follows your finish stage. A job counts once it reaches your shop's final workflow stage and is stamped complete in the current calendar month. Rename or reorder stages and the count follows.
  • The Job Pipeline hides your final stage. Completed work would swamp every other bar, so the last stage is left off the chart — but the bars are still scaled against it, so they all read short once a shop has a pile of finished jobs. Read the "completed this month" line under Active Jobs instead.
  • Sample data counts. If you took the sample job when you first signed in, it's included in Active Jobs and the pipeline bars until you delete it.
  • Low Ink is a fixed threshold, not a setting. A channel appears at 25% or less and turns red at 10% or less. No card means every channel is above 25% — or that no one has logged a reading. Record levels and save reorder links under Shop → Inventory → Ink; see Inventory.
  • "New Leads" means unclaimed. It counts leads routed to your shop that nobody has picked up yet, from your directory listing, your website, the estimator and the API. Claim one and it drops off.
  • The briefing card can be empty and that's fine. Nothing scheduled, nothing due, nothing at risk means no card.
  • The greeting line is the fastest create. New quote / New job / New customer / New vehicle on Home open the form in one click — quicker than the top bar's + Create dropdown or the ⌘K command menu.
  • It's read-only where it counts. You can't edit a number here. The pipeline tiles, briefing tiles and activity rows click through to the screen that owns them; the four headline numbers don't click anywhere — open the job, invoice or setting yourself to change what they report.
  • Reports — the deep business-intelligence dashboard at Money → Reports; Home is the daily snapshot.
  • Jobs — the pipeline, recent activity and team workload all come from the job board.
  • Ops — the daily checklist behind Home's Today tab.
  • Quotes — the quote figures on Your pipeline and under Job Pipeline.
  • Invoicing & billing — the revenue and outstanding figures.
  • Marketing — the Lead Inbox behind New Leads and the Leads tile.
  • Inventory — printers, ink readings and the reorder links behind Low Ink.
  • Team — the names and roles in Team Workload.
  • Calendar — the Scheduling hub the briefing card's "Today's schedule" rows open into.
  • Settings — workflow stages, shop details and the accent color Home reflects.
  • Onboarding — the first-run picker and the Finish setup checklist in full.
  • Plans — the 7-day trial and what each paid plan adds.
  • My Jobs — the work-home for members on the Installer role.
