Personas
How the people around a wrap shop use Wraptor. Each links the modules they live in.
Owner / manager
Runs the business. Lives in Home (Dashboard overview), Money (Quotes, Invoicing & billing, Reports), Shop → Team (Team), Leads and Web Presence (Marketing), Settings and Plans. The built-in Manager role holds every permission. By default it is the only built-in role that opens Shop → Team, the shared Inbox, Leads, Web Presence, Money → Payroll, Money → Reports, or anything gated on Settings. Two of those set the tone for everything else: Money → Quote Settings, the page every new quote copies its rates, terms and defaults from, and Settings → Communications → Customer messages, which lists every email a customer gets in lifecycle order. A new shop — signed up cold or by claiming a Directory listing — lands on the plan picker, starts its 7-day free trial (no card required), and then lands on Jobs. From there the next steps are Onboarding — the first-run picker, then the Finish setup strip, which the shop owner sees on Home and Jobs. Leans on Rex, the in-app assistant, for shop-data questions and quick answers.
Production
Coordinates the shop floor and keeps work moving. The built-in Production role reaches Jobs, the Scheduling hub (Calendar), Shop → Bays, Inventory, Purchasing, Files and Equipment (Inventory, Purchasing, Files, Equipment), Customers → Vehicles (Vehicles), Team Chat (Messages), and the daily checklist (Ops), which is now the Today tab on Home — send them to the old /ops address, which redirects straight to that tab. The Home row in the rail opens on the other tab, Overview, and that one needs the Dashboard permission this role does not hold, so clicking Home sends them to Jobs instead. Add Dashboard to the role if you want Home to open for them. Handbook — the shop's SOPs, install guides and training pages — is open to every built-in role, though writing those pages needs the Settings permission. Money stays out of reach. Colors is WrapStudio → Colors and needs the Colors permission added to the role.
Installer
Does the assigned wrap work. The built-in Installer role lands on My Jobs, and its nav rail holds three destinations: My Jobs, Schedule and Team Chat, with Docs and Help in the footer. Opening an assigned job card gives a focused work view — the stage strip with Advance stage, a Time panel with per-activity start/stop timers, and the job's checklists. Money, customer, inventory and settings screens stay out of reach. Apart from their own profile, any other address redirects back to My Jobs. Schedule shows the whole shop's calendar, not only their own jobs. See My Jobs.
Designer
Creates proofs and artwork. Lives in WrapStudio (Studio, WrapStudio Design), Proofs (Proofs), Shop → Files (Files) and WrapStudio → Colors (Colors), and uses Rex for spec lookups and creative help. The built-in Designer role also carries Billing & Quotes, so the person drawing the wrap can price it too — Money → Quotes and Invoices open for them, but Money → Quote Settings does not, because Standards needs the Settings permission.
Front-desk / sales
Handles customers and quotes. Lives in Customers — the Customers, Vehicles and Fleets tabs (Customers, Vehicles, Fleets) — plus Money → Quotes (Quotes), the shared Inbox (Inbox) and Team Chat (Messages). There is no built-in role for this one. Build it in Shop → Team → Roles & Permissions: Customers, Vehicles, Billing & Quotes and Messaging cover the work. Grant Jobs as well — every sign-in lands on Jobs, and a role without that permission has nowhere to land, which is why all four built-in roles carry it. Shared Inbox has to be granted on purpose — only Manager holds it by default, because that mailbox is the shop's customer email.
Independent installer
A solo installer rather than a shop — an account that picked Independent installer in the first-run picker, which lands on My Listing. The account starts like any other signup — on the plan picker, then the 7-day free trial (no card required) with every hub open and no caps. On top of the normal app they get a public profile in the installer network and two extra nav items, My Listing and Payments (under More on a phone). My Listing is the profile editor, with links to Hire requests, Payouts and Messages. Wraptor Starter ($99/mo, 2 seats) is the smallest plan to trial. See Installers.
Customer
The vehicle owner — never logs in. Every page they see is a no-login link. They find the shop on the public directory and request a quote (Directory). On the quote link they get a plain-language state — Ready for your approval, Approved {date}, Declined or This quote expired on {date} — pick an option where the shop offered Good, Better and Best, tick any optional add-ons, and approve; the button names the deposit as Approve — $X deposit due (Quotes). Approving opens a Thanks — here's what happens next panel with how to pay, a link to follow the job and the quote to download, and a confirmation email follows. They sign off artwork on the proof-approval page (Proofs) and e-sign waivers and work authorizations (Documents & E-Signatures). They can book a slot and pay a deposit (Online Booking), follow Step N of M on their tracking page (Track), and pay on the pay link (Invoicing & billing) — or read How to pay there when the shop does not take card online. Warranty certificates are theirs to keep (Warranty Certificates). The emails they get carry a Manage what we email you link to their own preferences page. Copy portal link on a customer gives them one Account status page for the whole account with you: every vehicle and its stage on any plan, plus open balances, quotes waiting on them and warranty certificates on Wraptor Shop and Wraptor Fleet (Customers, Fleets). A Powered by Wraptor line appears on those pages only for a shop with no plan — never during the trial or on a live plan.
