How often should a shop follow up on a quote?
Five times over about three weeks: the same day the quote goes out (ideally within an hour), then on day 1-2, day 4-5, and day 10-14, and a closing message about a week later. Switch between text, phone, and email, add something new each time, and stop as soon as the customer replies. Speed matters most: in a Harvard Business Review study, firms that contacted a lead within an hour were nearly seven times as likely to qualify it as firms that waited another hour. If the closing message goes unanswered, mark the quote lost and record why.
